Job Summary

The Vehicle Maintenance Specialist is responsible for performing routine vehicle repairs and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications. This position requires delivering exceptional service to customers through effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions, as well as consistently meeting customer expectations for time commitments and quality.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnostics and Repairs: Perform basic vehicle diagnostics to properly identify required repairs, consistently complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process, and audit courtesy inspections performed by the General Service Technicians.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading and stocking inventory.
  • Store Operations: Assist with all general store duties, ensuring the store is in excellent condition and maintained to Monro standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
  • Training and Certification: Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities by timely completion of all required Monro University training courses and modules.
Requirements:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Automotive training or experience is preferred.
  • ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) are a plus.
  • The ability to operate customer vehicles to conduct test drives is necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • A competitive salary range of $18-$20 per hour, plus a flat rate of $28-$40 based on experience.
