Position Summary

The Power Distribution & Controls Engineer will operate under the mentorship of senior electrical engineers, focusing on the creation and documentation of electrical designs for various projects based on provided specifications. This role will leverage acquired electrical engineering expertise, AutoCAD Electrical, and other engineering support software.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize CAD/Drafting/Support Software to produce and modify electrical design drawings.
  • Interpret and edit electrical schematics and technical drawings proficiently.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to develop new electrical power and control design documents based on project specifications.
  • Assist in conducting load calculations and other electrical assessments for both existing and new designs.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs, and assist in setting up PID loop designs with guidance.
  • Employ MS Office and similar software for basic functions and manage BOMs and project timelines with assistance.
Problem Solving and Team Collaboration
  • Work alongside engineers, designers, and drafters to tackle design challenges effectively.
  • Engage in basic electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving under supervision.
  • Foster productive interactions with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams to gather necessary information for electrical design tasks.
  • Participate in engineering design teams to enhance understanding of design methodologies and processes.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Technology, or an Associate's degree in Electrical Technology with relevant experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Proficient in mathematics applicable to engineering functions.
  • Must comply with all company standards, policies, and safety regulations.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds as needed.
