Servtech, a Roeslein Company, is seeking a skilled Building Assembler to work in our manufacturing facilities. This individual will be responsible for assembling metal building structures, painting structural steel, and performing various tasks to ensure quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble metal building structures on welded skids using various tools and equipment.
- Paint structural steel, pipe, valves, and other component parts used for industrial manufactured products.
- Prepare paint and ensure proper mixing for customer requirements.
- Maintain and clean paint guns and equipment.
- Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints and other written instructions and/or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
- Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. is strongly preferred.
- 0-1 year of industrial painting is strongly preferred.
- 0-1 year of assembly experience is strongly preferred.
- Good motor vehicle record is required.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel.
- Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
- Must be able to use and read a wet and dry mil gauge.
- Strong problem-solving skills are required.
- High level of energy and motivation.
- Ability to work flexible hours including, but not limited to, some overtime.
Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with an uncontrolled atmosphere. Exposure to harsh conditions—such as dust, fumes, chemicals, hazardous materials, noise, and varying weather and temperatures—for short periods is possible. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, grip, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop; kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly is required. Must be able to stand/walk 90% of the time and sit 10% of the time. Requires the ability to work from heights while utilizing the appropriate PPE for each situation.
