Job Summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking an experienced Electronic Sustainment Engineer to join our Research and Development Department.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting existing elevator products, working with design and development engineers, quality engineers, and other department resources to resolve field and production/vendors' issues. Key responsibilities include writing ECOs, processing cross-approvals for end-of-life components, redesigning, testing, and debugging electronic circuitry, reviewing changes and approving PCB layouts, performing root cause analysis to improve design, writing reports, and executing test plans.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electronic engineering, or associate's degree in electronic engineering with a minimum of 9 years' experience in the engineering field.
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as PCAD, Altium, and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, and logic analyzers.
  • Analytical skills in solving electronic problems/issues.
  • Understanding of analog, digital, and embedded designs, with familiarity with VHDL a plus.
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills in verbal and written form.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a large group across full functional teams, including suppliers, customers, and associates.
Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000 per year.
