Job Summary

Nidec Motor Corporation in Rancho Cordova, CA is seeking an experienced Electronic Sustainment Engineer to join our Research and Development Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and maintenance of existing elevator products
  • Collaborate with design and development engineers, quality engineers, and other department resources to resolve field and production/vendor issues
  • Develop and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and process Cross Approvals for End-of-Life components
  • Design, test, and debug electronic circuitry
  • Review and approve PCB layouts on existing products
  • Perform root cause analysis to improve design
  • Write reports, test plans, and execute test plans
  • Report to the Quality and Sustainment Manager
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the engineering field or Associate's degree in Electronic Engineering with a minimum of 9 years of experience
  • Experience with PCB design tools such as PCAD, Altium, and AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, and logic analyzers
  • Analytical skills in solving electronic problems/issues
  • Understanding of analog, digital, and embedded designs, with familiarity with VHDL a plus
  • Strong communication skills in verbal and written form
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual and as a member of a large team across functional teams, including suppliers, customers, and associates
Salary Range

$80,000 - $85,000 per year
