About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at California Natural Products. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining a high-performing organizational culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Partnering: Collaborate closely with various departments to promote best practices in human resources, drive HR initiatives, and contribute to the organization's overall success.
  • Employee Relations: Coach, counsel, and guide assigned leaders regarding performance management, corrective action, and other matters of organizational risk to drive performance and adherence to company policy.
  • HR Policy Implementation: Ensure the effective implementation of HR policies, methodologies, and guidelines to support the business.
  • Employee Development: Identify training needs for work units and individual executive coaching needs, and provide guidance and input on business restructures, workforce, and succession planning.
  • Conflict Resolution: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations, and maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
  • Recruitment and Hiring: Assist with recruitment efforts as needed to support open positions and meet business needs, working with the hiring manager to ensure a smooth and consistent process.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Manage numerous reporting activities related to business metrics in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate degree, but a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressive and relevant human resources generalist experience, including demonstrated experience in management coaching, organizational design, employee relations, and compensation practices.
  • Skills: Thorough understanding of all employment laws and their practical application in the workplace, solid organizational skills, excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, and proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PHR or SPHR Certification: Possession of a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification is highly desirable.
  • Master's Degree: A master's degree in a related field is also preferred.
Working Conditions

Frequently exposed to wet and varying temperature conditions, loud noise, vibration, moving machinery/electrical parts, risk of electrical shock, airborne particles, high/precarious places, toxic/caustic chemicals, allergens including soy, milk and milk by-products, and fumes from food processing equipment.
