Job Summary

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care. This key position directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to our organization's values.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality care.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care services, collaborating with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Operationalize current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives, to improve engagement.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions, to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/BSN - Highly Preferred
  • 1+ years experience in perioperative healthcare - Required
  • 1+ years experience in leadership role - Preferred
  • Additional specialty experience may be required as per facility practices (i.e. Pediatric, GI, etc)
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment or appropriate compact licensure.
  • Required valid BCLS Certification upon employment.

Surgicenter of Johnson County is located in Overland Park, Kansas. Our center performs over 350 procedures a month, offering services in ENT, gynecology, oral, orthopedic, plastics, and podiatry. We strive to provide a quality of care in a warm and welcoming environment.

Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
