Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor plant operations for compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Food Defense programs.
  • Ensure food safety Critical Control Points (CCPs) are verified and validated according to the schedule.
  • Implement and maintain Quality programs and related documentation.
  • Train, develop, and schedule department personnel.
  • Complete pre-operation reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage inventory and place orders as needed for the department.
  • Complete and submit reports on lab analysis, product testing, raw materials, ingredients, and packaging.
  • Conduct investigations and resolve customer non-conformities, responding to Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Oversee the Environmental Pathogen Monitoring and Sampling Programs.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment.
  • Manage the Positive Hold and Release Program for products.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with relevant industry experience.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in food processing.
  • HACCP Certification required; nut roasting/frying, packaging, or nut butter processing experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain the SQF Practitioner Certificate.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Working Conditions

Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional wet or humid conditions.

Moderate noise level in the work environment.

Physical Demands

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requires standing, walking, handling objects, and occasionally climbing or balancing.
