About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Project Engineer to join our team at ABB. As a key member of our Process Automation Energy Industries division, you will play a crucial role in supporting engineering activities across various project sizes and complexities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks to ensure project deliverables meet contract specifications and quality standards.
  • Exercise judgment on limited details of work and apply standard methods to prepare project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
  • Assist customers on technical issues and interact with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.
  • Support communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings to ensure effective project coordination.
  • Participate in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other engineering degree.
  • Up to 2 or more years of experience in configuration of computer systems or networks.
  • Knowledge and/or experience administrating Information Systems and Virtual environments preferred.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows configuration and administration, operating system fundamentals, and network components and infrastructure, including networking hardware and basic networking theory.
  • Expertise in virtualization, routing, and firewalls preferred.
  • Must be a US citizen or permanent resident of USA.
  • Position will be based in Cleveland, OH or Houston, TX.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
