Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct reconciliations of general ledger accounts to verify the accuracy and reliability of financial documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Support the monthly closing procedures, encompassing journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Contribute to financial forecasting cycles.
  • Manage state and federal tax submissions, with a primary focus on sales tax and motor fuel taxes.
  • Assist in inventory reconciliations to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Process Bill of Lading (BOL) documentation.
  • Oversee customer invoicing for fuel related to convenience store operations.
  • Maintain and update customer and vendor records.
  • Perform banking tasks as assigned.
  • Report directly to the CFO and engage in special projects as required.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients and other stakeholders.
  • Opportunity for advancement to a Controller role based on performance and experience.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in tax-oriented accounting.
  • CPA designation is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
  • Proficiency with various ERP systems and BI/BW tools.
