The Morning Inventory Specialist is tasked with ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our Customers. The Specialist is expected to adhere to company standards, maintain a tidy workspace, and ensure merchandise is presented appropriately. Engagement in assigned tasks throughout the shift is essential, and additional responsibilities may arise to support operational and Customer service objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prioritizes safety above all, consistently practicing safe behaviors in all activities.
  • Maintains vigilance on the sales floor to promote a secure shopping atmosphere, ensuring clear access to emergency exits and promptly addressing any safety concerns.
  • Interacts with Customers and Team Members with respect and professionalism, recognizing peers through company acknowledgment programs.
  • Assists Customers with various needs, including register operations, merchandise inquiries, and general assistance, always responding with politeness and knowledge.
  • Delivers timely and efficient responses to Customer inquiries, managing Customer Service calls promptly and addressing issues with courtesy, involving Store Leadership when necessary.
  • Embodies and promotes the Company brand consistently.
  • Conducts cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas to maintain a clean environment for Customers and Team Members.
  • Adheres to the Company's dress code and maintains a professional appearance at all times.
  • Executes daily recovery and sizing tasks in accordance with company best practices to ensure an organized and well-maintained store.
  • Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor with urgency, merchandising items according to monthly presentation guidelines.
  • Understands and implements Loss Prevention protocols and merchandise protection standards.
  • Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions, safeguarding confidential information and adhering to cash handling policies.
  • Exhibits a sense of urgency in performing tasks efficiently, maximizing productivity by following Store best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Basic mathematical skills applicable in retail settings.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Capability to operate all Store equipment, including registers and hand-held devices.
  • Ability to spend the majority of the shift standing, walking, and moving throughout the Store.
  • Regularly bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, carrying, reaching, and stooping is required.
  • Occasional lifting and moving of items exceeding 25 pounds may be necessary.
  • Utilization of janitorial equipment and other assigned tools is expected.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:

This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
