Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanic - Equipment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative and non-scheduled maintenance on industrial trucks and operation equipment, as well as repairing and routine maintenance on equipment to include hydraulics, electrical, robotics, high-pressure water pumps, and other components.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other important parts to ensure they are in proper operating conditions.
  • Perform equipment evaluation and testing, using measuring and diagnostic devices to adjust, test, and repair equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of mechanic experience, with previous experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and high-pressure pumps.
  • ASE certification preferred.
  • Proficient in the use of online systems and computer software.
  • CDL Class A or B required.
  • Extensive travel required.

Physical Demands

The employee in this position will be regularly required to sit, talk, and hear, and frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects. The position also requires the employee to stand, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and taste or smell. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 70 pounds). Vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability for extended concentration.

Work Environment

The employee will generally work in the shop and yard and perform work in outside weather conditions (occasionally near job sites with moving vehicles and mechanical operations). The employee will be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level is usually moderate.
