Golf Cart and Side by Side Technician Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Small Engine Golf Cart and Side by Side Technician to join our team at Richmond Equipment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for inspecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues with golf carts and side by sides, performing preventative maintenance services, and repairing golf carts and UTV/Side by Sides.

Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with golf carts and side by sides.
  • Perform preventative maintenance services on golf carts and UTV/Side by Sides.
  • Perform repairs on golf carts and UTV/Side by sides.
  • Assemble/disassemble, perform basic tune-ups, discharge and/or replace batteries, etc.
  • Properly fill out work orders and preventative maintenance sheets.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Must have experience as a small engine mechanic/technician.
  • 2+ years' experience in small engine diagnoses and repair preferred.
  • 1+ years' experience in electrical diagnoses and repairs or an Electrical Degree preferred.
  • Required to have your own tools.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a mechanic, preferably with golf carts or similar vehicles.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and be a self-starter.
  • Must be motivated, organized, and deadline-oriented.
  • Basic computer skills for parts lookup and troubleshooting.
  • Must be a team player that is proactive with a positive attitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Continuous standing, walking, pushing, pulling, crawling, bending, reaching, climbing, lifting 75 lbs. or more.
Work Schedule:
  • Monday-Friday
  • 7:30 am- 5 pm *Occasional Weekend's - Overtime available
  • Applicants must have their own transportation. Applicant must be drug-free, have a clear background, and have a valid Texas driver's license.
