Job Summary

Amergis is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nursing Faculty Member to join our team. As an Adjunct Professor of Nursing, you will be responsible for teaching and supervising nursing students in a clinical setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement the college's philosophy, curriculum, and program outcomes through clinical teaching and service to the college, community, and health system.
  • Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching loads.
  • Plan and provide supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to individuals or groups.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
  • Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with student's knowledge base, skill competency level, and individual learning needs.
  • Review and grade written assignments submitted by students in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to ongoing development, implementation, and evaluation of the college's programs.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (in states where minimum requirement is a Bachelor's Degree).
  • Current Registered Nurse License for the state in which the nurse practices.
  • Compliance with all relevant professional standards of practice.
  • Participation and completion of Amergis' Competency program (when applicable).
  • Current CPR (if applicable).
  • TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray (if applicable).
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation).
  • Meet all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Successful completion of new hire training (as applicable to job site).
  • Understand patient confidentiality and HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
