Chamberlain University, part of Adtalem Global Education, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Clinical Nursing Faculty to join our team. As a Clinical Nursing Faculty, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement the College's philosophy, curriculum, program outcomes, and course objectives through clinical teaching and service to the College, community, health system, and profession.
  • Teach clinical courses on-site with one of our clinical partners, with a schedule that typically includes 12-hour rotations (7a-7p) for three to four consecutive days.
  • Assume responsibility for all autonomous aspects of individual teaching assignments.
  • Plan clinical experiences for and provide direct supervision and evaluation of nursing students delivering nursing care to an individual or group of individuals.
  • Evaluate and provide documented feedback to students on their level of performance based on course objectives.
  • Be available for remediation of students as required or needed.
  • Orient and maintain current knowledge related to agency/clinical policies, procedures, and expectations with the assistance of the agency/clinical personnel.
  • Develop and post written clinical assignments consistent with students' knowledge base, skill competency, and individual learning needs.
  • Grade homework, quizzes, tests, lab assignments, clinical paperwork, and other written work in a timely manner.
  • May teach didactic course content under the supervision of a course coordinator.
  • Keep the course coordinator informed of all student and agency issues and concerns.
  • Report to the dean or assistant dean, with a course coordinator providing direct oversight.
Qualifications:
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • An unencumbered professional nursing license in the state of Oregon.
  • An IL nursing license will be required before accepting any clinical contract for a given session.
  • At least two years of professional experience within the last five years in the area of instruction as a registered nurse.
  • Teaching or precepting experience is preferred but not required.
  • A genuine passion for nursing, education, and lifelong learning.
  • Exceptional subject matter expertise with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination may be required to teach at certain clinical partner sites.
  • A commitment to serving students and colleagues with passion, respect, and care.
  • An operating sense of responsibility and purpose with a desire to enrich colleagues, students, and the broader community.
What We Offer:

Chamberlain University offers a competitive compensation package, with expected rates ranging from $1,120 per assignment to $7,245 per assignment, depending on the candidate's education and experience.
