Security Systems Technician

At Securitas Electronic Security, we're seeking a skilled Security Systems Technician to join our team. As a key member of our technical staff, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers, ensuring the optimal performance of our security systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to technical issues and troubleshoot system problems to ensure seamless operation.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent system downtime and identify potential issues.
  • Configure and install security systems, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
  • Document all system modifications and changes through our digital change control tracking system.

As a Security Systems Technician, you'll work closely with our customers to resolve post-installation issues and perform special project work as needed. You'll also be responsible for producing high-quality technical documentation, performing pre-deployment testing, and on-site installations of software upgrades and major modifications.

Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with installing and troubleshooting low-voltage equipment.
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial access control, CCTV, burglary alarm, intrusion systems, and fire alarms.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of IP addressing equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
