We are seeking a highly skilled Airworthiness Inspector Sr A&P to join our team at General Dynamics. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our aircraft inspection and maintenance processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Aircraft Inspection and Quality Control: Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft, engine, and component repairs and alterations to ensure conformity to FAA-approved data.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate, neat, and legible records of work performed on aircraft/components.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Coordinate with technicians, leads, and supervisors to ensure effective documentation and quality control processes.
  • Training and Development: Mentor technicians on effective documentation and quality control procedures.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Continuously monitor repair station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA-accepted site Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required; 6 years aircraft/component inspection experience, including 3 years on large or mid-size aircraft; Airframe and Powerplant License required.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA forms and documents; proficient in blueprint reading, use/interpretation of Maintenance Manuals, test specifications, and other inspection-related documentation; strong written and verbal communication skills; strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word; minimum 20 WPM typing speed.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with up to 50% travel required. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
