Job Description

The Manager of Revenue Cycle Business Process Improvement will be responsible for leading the development, standardization, and maintenance of revenue cycle business processes at Atrium Health.

About the Role

This is a leadership role that requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, oversee, collaborate on, and continuously evaluate revenue cycle business processes, problems, and requirements for assigned applications to support achievement of Atrium Health's strategic goals.
  • Partner with leadership across the system to identify opportunities and develop workflows related to revenue cycle operations.
  • Lead the Workflow Optimization team in facilitating visionary, out-of-the-box thinking with technology adoption and issue resolution.
  • Take a leading role in the revenue cycle Electronic Medical Record (EMR) change management process, helping to facilitate and improve all phases of the process, including intake review, prioritization, communication, and execution of requests.
  • Develop a comprehensive testing methodology to support system upgrades, and oversee implementation of that methodology.
  • Help drive consistency of practice between revenue cycle applications.
  • Serve as a leadership liaison between revenue cycle operations, revenue cycle Health Information Technology, and site operations.
  • Perform human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in revenue cycle operations or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrix organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of key technology solutions and business drivers.
  • Experience in developing and implementing business processes and procedures.
  • Ability to lead a diverse group of team members.
