The Senior Analyst position is a newly established role within a rapidly expanding Procurement Department. This opportunity allows for significant involvement in the evolution of the Procurement function at UniFirst. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Head of Procurement and will independently manage procurement projects of increasing complexity, leveraging their experience. This role necessitates the capability to lead initiatives while collaborating across various corporate functions with multiple stakeholders. The work arrangement is hybrid, with an expectation of 2-3 days per week in the office.

Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst will aid in achieving cost savings and contribute to category management through the following tasks:

  • Identify and evaluate potential new suppliers for designated categories
  • Create RFPs that facilitate price discovery and supplier selection
  • Assist or lead sourcing projects under the guidance of the Head of Procurement
  • Negotiate all supply terms and conditions with managerial support
  • Draft and execute supply agreements with input from Legal and relevant stakeholders
  • Oversee the implementation of new agreements and the onboarding of new suppliers
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to products, services, and supply chains, including lead times, availability, quality, and performance
  • Provide ongoing Supplier Relationship Management support
  • Manage vendor price change requests, validate against existing contracts, assess cost impact, and update vendor pricing on the corporate intranet
  • Conduct procurement research and analytical support for initiatives led by the Procurement Manager
  • Ensure the corporate intranet site reflects current vendor pricing
  • Maintain the contract database with up-to-date agreement information
  • Regularly monitor raw material price indexes to identify market trends
  • Respond promptly to product inquiries from field locations and ensure compliance with vendor agreements
  • Facilitate product allocations to the field as necessary

Reporting to Management:

  • Cost savings, avoidance, and performance enhancements
  • Current schedules for sourcing initiatives
  • Opportunities for enhancing supplier diversity and rationalizing suppliers and SKUs
  • Analysis of vendor usage and trends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in Procurement, Consulting, or related analytical roles
  • Exceptional communication and presentation abilities
  • Analytical mindset with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills or a strong willingness to learn
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Fluency in English
