Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Millennium Physician Group. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments and interviews with patients to diagnose and treat breathing and cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Perform pulmonary function tests and analyze results to determine the best course of treatment.
  • Administer various treatments, including chest physiotherapy and aerosol medications, to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Collect and analyze sputum, blood, and breath specimens to determine oxygen and carbon dioxide levels.
  • Measure lung capacity to determine impaired function and monitor patient progress.
  • Record patient data and progress in our electronic medical record system.
  • Provide education and training to patients on medication use and equipment operation, such as ventilators.
  • Deliver exceptional patient care and adhere to our organization's Standards of Behavior.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • Credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • 1-2 years of experience in Respiratory Therapy, including ICU/CCU ventilator management.
  • Current CPR certification in the State of Florida.
  • Completion of 16 CEU's every 2 years.
