The Department of Neurology at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and the University of Maryland Rehabilitation and Orthopaedic Institute are seeking a full-time physician for an outstanding academic practice opportunity in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine rehabilitation.

The position involves inpatient and outpatient practice, teaching of fellows, residents and medical students, and an opportunity to participate in collaborative clinical research.

Besides spinal cord injury and dysfunction, there is also the potential to participate in other rehabilitation services such as spasticity management, prosthetics and inpatient rehabilitation consultation.

This is an opportunity to join a motivated team of physicians, nurses and therapists that run the largest inpatient spinal cord injury rehabilitation program in Maryland.

This position reports directly to Dr. Peter Gorman, Chief, Division of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Candidates should have completed a residency in PM&R or Neurology and be board eligible or certified in their respective field.

Added certification in spinal cord injury medicine is required. Clinical research experience is desirable but not required.

The candidate should be eligible for academic appointment to the University of Maryland School of Medicine at the assistant or associate professor level.
