Job Summary

As a Part Time Speech Language Pathologist, you will deliver speech language pathology and/or audiology services through evaluation of patients with disorders of articulation, voice, fluency, language, swallowing and cognition. You will identify and evaluate hearing impairment, recommend hearing aids, provide aural rehabilitation, and develop treatment plans according to the principles and practices of speech language pathology/audiology.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients with speech and language disorders, and develop individualized treatment plans to improve communication skills.
  • Conduct hearing evaluations and recommend hearing aids as needed.
  • Provide aural rehabilitation services to patients with hearing impairments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients.
  • Stay current with best practices in speech language pathology and audiology.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Audiology or a related field.
  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist and/or Audiologist with the State of Maryland.
  • Current CPR certification.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of speech/hearing mechanisms, assessment and therapeutic materials, neuroanatomy, physiology, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, speech and language disorders, guiding and diagnosing video swallow studies, diagnostic and therapy materials needed for evaluation.
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient populations(s) served.
