Job Title: Sales Representative

As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in meeting and exceeding sales targets, while providing top-notch service to our valued customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sell and deliver a minimum number of vehicles per month, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Utilize dealership sales control and follow-up systems to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Attend product and sales training courses as requested by the sales manager to stay up-to-date on new products and services.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business, contributing to customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct business in an ethical and professional manner, adhering to federal, state, and local laws governing retail automobile sales.
  • Establish personal income goals consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, and their benefits to customers.
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer and turn 100% of closed deals to the finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring they understand the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
  • Schedule first service appointments and follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, and special requests to ensure all customer expectations are met.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plan more effectively.
  • Attend sales meetings and maintain a professional appearance.
Requirements:
  • No prior experience or training required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some college experience preferred.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • State Sales License.
  • Valid Driver's License.
