Position Overview:
Role Summary:
The Senior Biological Researcher is responsible for the production of clinical trial materials within a controlled cleanroom setting, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role necessitates strict adherence to established protocols and thorough documentation and data management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental monitoring (EM) within both the Human Applications Laboratory and the Cancer and Genetics GMP Facilities. This includes the assessment of non-viable airborne particles, viable airborne particulates, surface cleanliness, and personnel monitoring.
- Perform scheduled monitoring tasks with a focus on compliance with written SOPs, ensuring meticulous data entry and reporting.
- Oversee the operational status of cleanroom facilities, utilizing EM data reviewed by the Quality Control Manager and Quality Management.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and environments in accordance with GMP standards, which includes inventory management, ordering supplies, logging samples and materials, and ensuring proper disposal of hazardous waste.
Compensation:
Salary range: $41,500 - $50,000
Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in biology or a related discipline with a minimum of three years of relevant experience; alternatively, a Master's degree in biology or a closely related field with at least one year of relevant experience; or a Doctoral degree in biology or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of three years of pertinent experience.
- Familiarity with Cell Therapy principles.
- Experience operating environmental monitoring equipment.
- Background in a cGMP environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Word).
- Dependable with strong communication skills.
- Physical capability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs and maintain the cleanliness of GMP facilities.
