Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Biological Scientist III to join our team in the Horticultural Sciences Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and executing experiments in fruit crop production and plant physiology, supervising graduate students and postdoctoral associates, and managing laboratory and greenhouse research operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and execute experiments in fruit crop production and plant physiology
• Supervise graduate students and postdoctoral associates in laboratory safety protocols and research procedures
• Manage laboratory and greenhouse research operations, including equipment maintenance and ordering research materials
• Prepare written reports of research and grant proposals
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in biology or a closely related field and seven years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree in biology or a closely related field and five years of relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree in biology or a closely related field and two years of relevant experience
• Strong motivation for learning research skills and ability to work as a team player
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
What We Offer:
• Competitive salary range of $53,000 - $55,000 commensurate with education, skills, and experience
