Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Firefighter Specialist to join our team at Rural/Metro. As an Industrial Fire Rescue Professional, you will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, providing medical aid, and conducting fire suppression activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fires and emergency situations in a timely and safe manner, utilizing company procedures and instructions.
  • Administer first aid and medical care to injured parties, utilizing your Advanced EMT certification.
  • Operate fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep.
  • Participate in training drills and exercises to maintain and improve firefighting skills and knowledge.
  • Work effectively as a team member, communicating and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Meet the physical requirements of the job, including lifting, carrying, and working in challenging environments.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Alabama Advanced EMT certification
  • CPR/AED credentials
  • IFSAC or Pro-Board Firefighter II certification
  • Hazardous Materials Technician certification
  • Driver/Operator - Pumper certification
  • NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 completion
Working Conditions

This is a safety-sensitive position, requiring the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You must be able to work any shift assigned, including nights, holidays, and weekends, and be willing to participate in scheduled and unscheduled overtime as needed.
