Firefighter Specialist

Job Summary:

Rural Metro Fire is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Industrial Fire Rescue Professional to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for controlling and extinguishing fires, rescuing individuals in distress, and preventing fires by identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency calls and participate in fire suppression efforts, using a combination of hose work, hand tools, and other equipment as needed.
• Administer first aid and provide medical assistance to injured parties, utilizing your Advanced EMT certification and CPR/AED training.
• Operate Company vehicles and equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures.
• Maintain fire and rescue apparatus, tools, and equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and testing tasks as required.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and coordination during emergency responses.
• Participate in training and drills to stay up-to-date on modern fire suppression tactics and procedures.
• Project a positive image and provide excellent customer service to clients and the community.

Requirements:

• Valid Alabama Advanced EMT certification.
• CPR/AED credentials.
• AL/IFSAC or Pro-Board Firefighter II certification.
• Hazardous Materials Technician certification.
• Driver/Operator - Pumper certification.
• NIMS ICS-100, 200, 700, and 800 certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
