Job Description

We are seeking passionate and committed part-time Youth Sports Coaches to lead our after-school sports programs in the Walnut Creek area.

As a Youth Sports Coach with ANTS Sports, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on America's youth by teaching sports and wellness skills. No prior coaching experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training for all coaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a fun and safe weekly sports practice for kids aged 5-10
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that focus on the fundamentals of sports
  • Ensure a safe and reliable program by arriving on time each week and maintaining accurate attendance
  • Interact positively with parents, teachers, and school staff
  • Set up and clean up after each program
  • Transport sports equipment to and from class each week

Program Details:

  • Classes will be held at community parks, tennis courts, and elementary schools in the Walnut Creek area
  • Programs will run for 10-14 weeks, with classes lasting 1-1.5 hours
  • Coaches will be assigned to a specific program day and location

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation to coaching sites
  • Strong communication skills
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
  • Patience and understanding of young children's needs
  • Experience as a player or coach (optional)
  • Pass a Federal and state Background Check and/or FBI Fingerprinting (Livescan) and test negative for TB test (within the last 4 years)
