Pricing Analyst Job Description

The Pricing Analyst is responsible for driving the analysis and execution of the Price Optimization strategy. This role requires exceptionally strong analytical and math skills, as well as a focus on detailed execution of processes.

This position will partner with Merchandising, Marketing, Stores, and the Information Systems team to drive change management throughout the company.

The Pricing Analyst will create pricing scenarios supporting existing goals, execute pricing, and verify results against goals. They will work with Merchants to offer strong points of view and recommendations for sales and margin optimization through pricing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

Create pricing scenarios supporting existing goals
Execute pricing and verify results against goals
Work with Merchants to offer strong points of view and recommendations for sales and margin optimization through pricing strategy
Measure results of price zone changes, price changes, and price tests
Evaluate effectiveness of pricing methods and rules, identify opportunities, and make recommendations for competitive pricing premiums

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Math, Finance, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
Proven experience with pricing systems and tools (e.g., Nielsen, Revionics, PROS) preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in data analysis and financial modeling
Familiarity with SQL and other data querying languages
