Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Assistant to join our team at Chattanooga Preparatory School. The successful candidate will provide educational support to students with disabilities, assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide educational assistance to students with disabilities
  • Assist in preparing, modifying, and utilizing instructional materials to meet individual needs
  • Assist with data collection and progress monitoring of student's physical, communication, social/emotional, and educational levels of development
  • Use special educational strategies and techniques to address students' academic needs
  • Provide physical assistance to students with disabilities as determined by their Individual Education Program

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or GED)
  • Sufficient experience to provide services in the specific role
  • Ability to learn and implement a variety of teaching strategies
  • Ability to work independently, as a team, and with students who have a variety of disabilities
