Job Opportunity

South College is seeking a dedicated and experienced instructor to join our team in the Phlebotomy Program. As a student-centered educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver engaging lecture, lab, and clinical courses to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with the program director to implement College policies and objectives, ensuring alignment with South College's philosophy.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, promoting their academic growth and success.
  • Connect students with relevant campus and community resources, fostering a supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with registration, recruitment, and retention efforts, ensuring a positive student experience.
  • Contribute to accreditation reports, self-studies, and site-visits, maintaining the program's high standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Current Phlebotomy certification required; additional medical assisting certification preferred.
  • Understanding of educational theory and techniques.
  • Previous experience teaching in a phlebotomy or medical assisting program, or working as a phlebotomist or medical assistant.
  • Strong technology skills and ability to integrate technology into instruction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and an inclusive learning environment.
