Position Summary
As a Fire Protection Technician Assistant, you will be responsible for addressing service requests from the Service Resource Center, which includes gathering essential details regarding equipment or system issues.
Engage with customer representatives to identify and understand the problems affecting their fire protection systems.

Key Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on various fire sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. This encompasses:
- Wet systems (steel, copper, and CPVC)
- Dry systems
- Pre-action systems
- Deluge systems
- Fire pumps
Utilize established troubleshooting methods and consult technical documentation, including manuals, change notices, and bulletins, to effectively diagnose and rectify equipment issues.
Interpret and analyze blueprints, diagrams, specifications, and operational manuals to ensure accurate service delivery.

Customer Engagement
Demonstrate exceptional customer service by maintaining clear communication with district personnel and clients to guarantee their satisfaction.
Complete electronic Service Acknowledgements with the correct coding and secure customer signatures.

Additional Duties
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation and perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Qualifications

- Experience in the Fire Sprinkler/Suppression industry
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and operational manuals
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Willingness to travel as necessary
- Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions
- Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
- Comfortable working in challenging positions, such as climbing ladders and navigating confined spaces
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including weekends, to accommodate customer needs
- Participation in an on-call rotation is required, with potential overnight travel
- Strong commitment to customer service excellence
- Maintain inventory on service vehicles to ensure prompt responses to client requests
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures consistently
- Possess strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record in accordance with company standards
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Must hold and maintain a current State Fire Protection License or valid Journeyman License.

Work Environment
This role requires the individual to drive their own vehicle, with daily routing from home to job sites. Office visits will occur 1-2 times weekly for meetings and parts collection. Employees are expected to manage their assignments independently, with company-issued shirts provided; however, they must supply their own work pants, boots, and tools.
