Fire Sprinkler Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Sprinkler Project Manager to join our team at North American Fire Protection. As a Fire Sprinkler Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of fire sprinkler system projects. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior management, clients, engineers, designers, installation teams, and technicians, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning and Coordination: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and construction teams to understand project requirements and specifications.
  • Project Execution and Quality Assurance: Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of fire sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards. Manage project schedules, materials, and equipment to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Team Leadership and Communication: Lead a team of technicians and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and direction throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Budget and Cost Management: Prepare accurate project cost estimates and budgets based on project specifications. Monitor project expenses, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record to meet the safe driving policy and dependable transportation.
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, construction management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of proven experience in project management, specifically in the fire protection industry (industrial cold storage or food processing experience preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, including design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 13, 20 codes.
  • Demonstrate commitment to company values, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Excellent leadership, written, and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Significant experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) applications.
  • Ability to think strategically, strong problem-solving skills, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results.
  • Build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Must be physically capable of sitting, standing, talking, walking, seeing, and hearing.
  • Capable of performing tasks that require lifting, carrying, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to use an elevated work platform up to 50 ft.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and always follow safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Must be willing to travel.
