Job Summary

The PT Cashier role at The GIANT Company is a dynamic opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and support the success of our stores. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scanning and/or entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, and bagging orders. You will also be involved in special projects as directed, including restocking returns, replenishing front-end items, cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Key Responsibilities

• Promptly review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
• Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and display merchandise as needed.
• Provide exceptional customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Tally items, take payments, and make change accurately and efficiently.
• Bag items and put bags into carts as needed.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
• Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
• Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
• Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
• Must meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.
• Must agree to wear proper assigned clothes and shoes approved for this job.
• Must have technical training (this is a job-specific requirement).
