The Assistant Store Leader is a key member of the store team, reporting directly to the Store Leader. This role is responsible for maximizing store productivity and profitability through team building, staff development, goal attainment, and ensuring compliance with all Kate Spade Standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take ownership and accountability for store operations and support the Store Leader in achieving business objectives.
  • Show leadership through role modeling Kate Spade Service behaviors and Kate Spade selling standards, inspiring team members to meet and exceed performance standards.
  • Demonstrate empowerment to solve customer problems and meet customers' needs, acting as an advocate for the team and motivating others to achieve results.
  • Communicate effectively with store leaders, peers, supervisors, and corporate partners, assisting in developing plans to address key business issues and utilizing plans to impact business and achieve desired results.
  • Able to influence others to gain support to achieve goals and complete projects, demonstrating effective time management skills.

Requirements

  • Experience in a retail service environment in a position of management, with a proven track record of success in leading teams and driving business results.
  • Knowledge of, and ability to use, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff, with a strong focus on customer service and sales skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
