Program Director Opportunity in Emergency Medicine

HCA Physician Recruitment is seeking an experienced and dynamic physician leader to head our Emergency Medicine residency program at HCA Florida Lawnwood Hospital as Program Director.

About the Role:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality curriculum for the residency program
  • Oversee the development and evaluation of program faculty, including rotation- and site directors, core- and teaching faculty, and Associate Program Directors
  • Evaluate and mentor residents and other learners, in compliance with established requirements and best practice
  • Ensure program compliance with established policies and procedures by the ACGME, ABMS, Sponsoring Institution, and Hospital
  • Compile reports and maintain accurate and timely communication, as requested or required, in collaboration with Hospital- and/or GME Division leadership, the ACGME, and/or the Board of Medical Specialties

Requirements:

  • Certified by the American Board of Medical Specialties in his/her specialty
  • License to practice medicine in Florida
  • Credentialed at the facilities of his/her clinical engagement
  • At least three years of clinical experience in an academic/teaching environment
  • Demonstrated involvement in medical education leadership, as well as active involvement in research and scholarship over the past 5 years
