As a Safety and Security Specialist, your role will be pivotal in fostering a secure and welcoming atmosphere by ensuring top-notch customer service while promoting a fun and safe environment.

Your responsibilities will encompass monitoring the entry and exit of members, guests, contractors, and employees; conducting thorough patrols of both indoor and outdoor areas of designated locations; observing and reporting any suspicious activities or individuals; preparing detailed incident reports and maintaining daily activity logs; enforcing the club's and homeowners association's rules, regulations, and policies; and responding promptly to emergency situations requiring security intervention.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive and relay messages effectively.
  • Utilize both verbal and written communication skills.
  • Implement and uphold rules, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Authorize the entry or exit of individuals as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records and files in a security context.
  • Monitor the ingress and egress of individuals.
  • Conduct regular patrols of parking lots, common areas, and club facilities to ensure the safety of residents and guests.
  • Report security concerns to management and relevant authorities.
  • Document security incidents through comprehensive reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a Level II/III Security License from the Texas Private Security Bureau.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances, including navigating stairs.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Skills and Abilities:
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality member service and exceeding expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire both staff and members.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication abilities.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including JONAS, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • High work ethic and a sense of responsibility towards team roles.
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Professional appearance is essential.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Approximately 40 hours or more per week, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Flexibility in scheduling is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position demands a significant amount of physical activity, including bending, stooping, walking, reaching, and standing throughout the day. Candidates should be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 25 lbs. The role also involves periods of desk work and computer use.
