Job Summary:

The Security Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling premises and personnel, securing access points, and controlling traffic in the loading dock. You will also be responsible for maintaining departmental security procedures, reporting irregularities, and completing reports as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor surveillance equipment and inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security and safety.
  • Patrol designated areas, including building lobby, floors, parking garage, loading dock, and perimeter, to prevent losses and damage.
  • Control traffic in the loading dock and monitor material entering or leaving the dock area.
  • Report irregularities and inform violators of policy and procedures.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Requirements:
  • Observational skills and ability to deal with uncertainty.
  • Judgment and objectivity in decision-making.
  • Dependability and emotional control in high-pressure situations.
  • Integrity and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, climb stairs, and respond to emergencies promptly.
  • Valid ID/DL required.
