Position Overview:
As a key member of the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the Laboratory Supervisor will oversee a comprehensive range of laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct a variety of laboratory tests and analyses, ensuring accuracy and reliability in results.
2. Develop, standardize, and evaluate laboratory procedures and techniques.
3. Supervise laboratory operations and manage personnel engaged in testing and reporting.
4. Compile and analyze scientific and technical data to support laboratory functions.

Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Medical Technologist.

Certifications:
- Required certifications include MT from recognized bodies such as AAB, AMT, ASCP, or equivalent.

Knowledge and Skills:
- Proficient understanding of laboratory protocols and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with complex data.
- Familiarity with chemical properties and laboratory safety standards.

Physical Requirements:
This role may involve exposure to various environmental conditions and requires the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position with rotating shifts. Benefits eligibility is included.
