Job Summary:
The Store Director is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store, including staffing, sales, merchandising, operations, and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong leader who can drive sales and store performance, manage a team of associates, and ensure the overall financial performance of the store.
Responsibilities:
- Drive Sales and Store Performance:
- Lead by example and promote a positive work culture.
- Develop and maintain a highly productive and diverse team of managers and associates.
- Oversee all sales-related initiatives, including sales targets, financing targets, and customer satisfaction.
- Manage the Operations Manager to ensure all operations meet standards and expectations.
- Ensure execution of all Retail Non-Negotiable Standards.
- Manage the overall customer experience, including in-store experience, online customer reviews, and customer complaints.
- Managerial:
- Hire and maintain a productive sales force and work with the Operations Manager to ensure the store is staffed to standard.
- Manage all in-store Human Resources processes, including staffing, training, and reporting performance issues.
- Administrative:
- Enforce and adhere to scheduling policies.
- Ensure store presentation standards and brand standards are maintained.
- Provide a safe working environment for associates and customers.
- Ensure the store operates in full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Manage receiving paperwork and inventory documentation.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash deposits.
- Manage all other store operations, pricing, and inventory management processes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred.
- Years of related experience or previous sales associate experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.
Preferred Skills:
- Strong leadership, coaching, and associate development skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Persuasion, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Computer literacy, with Excel/Word/Handheld Unit experience preferred.
- Strong drive for results and a proactive style of leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Knowledge of retail business and store operations.
Compensation:
The starting pay for this role is $60,000-$80,000 per year.
