A Behavioral Resource Technician is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing observation and support to patients with behavioral health needs. This role requires a unique blend of compassion, empathy, and technical skills to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide constant observation and intervention as necessary to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient status every 15 minutes and communicate observations promptly to the RN.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, and toileting.
- Develop and maintain good human relations skills, including introducing oneself to patients and staff, and interacting with others in a respectful and empathetic manner.
- Participate in competency validations, educational activities, and staff meetings to continually improve skills and knowledge.
We are seeking a candidate with 1 year of relevant patient care experience, preferably in a behavioral health setting. A minimum of 2 years of experience is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
