POSITION SUMMARY:

The role involves delivering exceptional, efficient, and cost-effective medical services within the Primary Care division at Allstarmedicalsupply. The physician will evaluate and address patient needs while overseeing all facets of patient care to ensure the provision of high-quality, economical healthcare. A supportive work environment will be cultivated for staff, promoting professional development, accountability, and independence. The aim is to create a welcoming atmosphere for patients, healthcare staff, referring physicians, and visitors.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the general guidance of the Chief Executive Officer and direct supervision of the Practice Manager, the Primary Care physician will perform the following duties in accordance with established policies and procedures:

  1. Deliver high-quality, cost-effective healthcare services.
  2. Work alongside internists, family practitioners, and pediatricians to enhance the efficiency of primary care.
  3. Support the recruitment of primary care physicians to meet community healthcare needs.
  4. Foster a collaborative culture within the practice.
  5. Prioritize community needs and patient interests in all decision-making processes.
  6. Devote professional time and effort to the responsibilities of the position.
  7. Participate in decisions regarding the recruitment of new physicians based on quality of care and fit with the practice culture.
  8. Encourage a respectful atmosphere among all healthcare professionals.
  9. Engage in business decisions that impact the practice.
  10. Ensure all members have equal rights and responsibilities regarding practice management.
  11. Adhere to tax-exempt status and serve the underserved populations.
  12. Compensation will be primarily based on individual productivity, with oversight from the compensation committee.
  13. Maintain competitive compensation and benefits aligned with national standards.
  14. Compensation will not be influenced by patient referral volumes.
  15. Annual compensation funds will be approved based on the overall contribution to the mission.
  16. Limit debt to what is necessary for approved business plans.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates must demonstrate the following skills and qualifications:

  1. Ability to perform physical tasks related to patient care.
  2. Effective verbal communication skills for detailed exchanges with patients and staff.
  3. Visual acuity for detailed inspections and data analysis.
  4. Knowledge of continuous quality improvement strategies.
  5. Willingness to travel for meetings and conferences.
  6. Ability to manage a variety of responsibilities independently.
  7. Capacity to exert physical force as required.
  8. Demonstrate compassion and respect in all interactions.
  9. Ability to foster a collaborative working environment.
  10. Open to constructive feedback and personal development.
WORK SCHEDULE: A full-time schedule consists of 36 patient contact hours per week along with 4 administrative hours, with variations in daily hours.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school with an MD or DO degree.
Experience:
  • Demonstrated experience as a physician with a strong grasp of examination methodologies and diagnostics.
Licensure/Certification:
  • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, or Board Eligible with completion of boards within two years.
