We are seeking an Employment Support Specialist (Diverse Caseload) to deliver extensive vocational support services in compliance with federal and state regulations, aimed at facilitating employment and fostering independent living. The role involves providing essential services such as counseling, training, education, rehabilitation, and job placement. The caseload will include individuals (students and adults) with diverse disabilities.

The office currently collaborates with multiple educational institutions and community organizations to support individuals across the region.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Remote work options are limited.
  • Candidates must possess a Master's degree to be eligible for this position, in accordance with specific regulations. Applicants nearing completion of their master's degree may also be considered.
  • A Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a closely related discipline is required. Transcripts indicating the degree award date must accompany the application. Candidates close to completing a master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field will be considered if the application includes a transcript stating the expected graduation date.
  • Knowledge in various domains such as social, economic, medical, vocational, and emotional factors impacting individuals with disabilities; interviewing, evaluation, and counseling techniques; and career counseling tools is essential.

Additional Considerations:

Familiarity with relevant regulations and laws, including the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Proficiency in computer operations and the ability to learn specific software for case management and documentation is necessary.

Strong communication skills are vital for building and maintaining effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and the professional community. The ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize responsibilities, and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision is crucial.

A current CRC credential is preferred.
