Astronics is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to ensure the quality and integrity of our products. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting inspections and testing to ensure that our products meet the required standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure product quality and integrity
- Use and interpret work instructions and associated documents to ensure conformity of product
- Perform final inspection of the product
- Ensure all assigned inspections are properly completed in compliance with established policies and procedures
- Identify areas for improvement and participate in continuous improvement projects
- Prepare accepted product for use by appropriately labeling product to indicate status and printing unique device identification labels as necessary
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years' experience in Quality Inspection role
- Proficient in all aspects of inspection including using and maintaining all inspection equipment
- Experience with reading inspection processes and interpreting engineering drawings required
- Expertise in the application and use of gauges and inspection equipment
- Strong communication, organizational, documentation and time management skills
- Analytical, logical thought process and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as a member of the Quality team and other cross-functional teams as required
- Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn various manufacturing software systems
The work environment is moderate with occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands and or arms to pull handles and push buttons and reaching objects. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation:$18.50/hr to $24.50/hr. Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
