Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the suitability of therapeutic interventions and consult with physicians to adjust orders as necessary.
- Provide comprehensive verbal and written educational resources to patients and their families.
- Adhere to established protocols for documenting critical values in patient medical records.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to facilitate patient care decisions and respond appropriately in urgent situations.
- Administer airway management, ensuring a clear airway through procedures such as intubation, tracheostomy care, and the alleviation of airway blockages.
- Deliver care across various patient demographics, including neonates, children, adults, and the elderly, in both critical and non-critical care settings.
- Implement and manage both invasive and non-invasive ventilation systems for critically ill patients of all ages.
- Collect blood samples and interpret laboratory results accurately.
- Demonstrate proficiency in assembling and troubleshooting respiratory therapy equipment.
Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited educational institution.
- Certifications in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, along with a valid state license for Respiratory Therapy.
- Basic proficiency in computer operations.
