Job Summary

Cornerstone Family Ministries Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in the daily care, supervision, and developmental education of young children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care for children, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.
  • Assist Lead Teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom management tasks.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents.
  • Support program philosophy, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with therapists and other professionals to enhance each child's development.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment.
  • Assist with developmental checklists, Individual Education Plans, and evaluations.
  • Complete required training and certifications, including First Aid and CPR.
  • Attend staff, family support planning, parent, and committee meetings as required.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 45 hours of Early Childhood Training through the Department of Children and Families.
  • Pass State and Local Criminal Background Checks.
  • Actively enrolled in a degree-seeking AA or BA Early Childhood Education Program at an accredited college or university.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate child development.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
