Job Overview

Delve Underground, a leading underground and heavy civil engineering firm, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the design and delivery of large-scale public works infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of technical reports, engineering specifications, drawings, and calculations supporting engineering activities.
  • Planning, directing, and coordinating project team activities to ensure compliance with contract agreements and cost control within established budget and schedule constraints.
  • Providing technical guidance and managing multi-disciplined engineering teams, including junior/graduate engineers.
  • Mentoring junior engineers for career development.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with senior client management and staff, presenting project status and deliverables to clients.
  • Accountability for QA/QC and risk management on projects.
  • Demonstrating confidence, business acumen, negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to maintain effective relationships with clients and represent Delve Underground in critical business dealings.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; emphasis in geotechnical or structural engineering desirable, Master's degree in structural or geotechnical engineering preferred.
  • At least 10+ years experience in civil engineering, including planning, design, and construction of heavy civil infrastructure, with technical oversight, project management, and client relationship management experience.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
  • Tunnel and underground structure design and construction experience preferred.
  • Water, wastewater, and/or transportation project management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record delivering various project types and sizes with public and private clients.
  • Experience working with governmental, local agencies, and contractors.
  • Contract document development, plan creation, detail specification, and large-scale Design-Build construction project management experience a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations at key industry conferences and seminars.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $98,219 - $161,544 per year, reflecting the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Pay is based on market location, experience, knowledge, and skills.
