About the Job:
Hudsonville Public Schools is seeking a reliable and hardworking Facilities Support Assistant to join our maintenance team. This role will be responsible for maintaining the overall appearance and functionality of our school facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance knowledge and skills related to facility maintenance.
- Clean and sanitize various surfaces, including floors, walls, and furniture, to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuums and floor buffers, to maintain floors and surfaces.
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to plan and execute large-scale cleaning projects and special events.
- Dispose of recyclables and waste in accordance with environmental regulations and company policies.
Work Environment:
- The ideal candidate will be able to work in a variety of environments, from quiet classrooms to noisy gymnasiums.
Qualifications:
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing and walking for extended periods.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or technical training preferred.
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
Estimated Salary Range:$40,000-$55,000 per year.
