Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at Novant Health. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control, specimen collection, processing, testing, and reporting of lab results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures, including quality control and quality assurance
  • Collect and process specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples
  • Operate laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and automated analyzers
  • Interpret laboratory results and communicate findings to healthcare providers
  • Assist in the evaluation of new or modified laboratory techniques and procedures
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate degree in chemical, physical, or biological science, or medical laboratory technology required
  • MLT certification (or eligible) from ASCP or AMT required
  • 1 year experience as a laboratory technician preferred
