Energy Efficiency Engineering Manager

Resource Innovations is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our team in New Jersey. As an Engineering Manager, you will oversee a team of engineers to deliver energy efficiency services to utility clients. Your responsibilities will include leading, mentoring, and providing oversight to engineers to help customers reduce energy consumption and save money at their facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and mentor a team of engineers to foster their professional growth and enhance their technical skills.
  • Maintain quality of deliverables and customer communication, promoting continuous improvement.
  • Conduct energy audits and retro-commissioning services to identify energy efficiency improvements in commercial and industrial facilities.
  • Provide technical assistance to support energy efficiency project implementation, including calculations, scope development, and implementation details.
  • Complete energy modeling, economic analysis, and simulation to quantify energy impacts of recommendations.
  • Write technical reports summarizing results from energy audits and retro-commissioning services.
  • Maintain the highest level of quality control of deliverable products, demonstrating technical excellence, objectivity, and clarity.
  • Provide advanced technical direction to other staff and mentor junior engineers on various energy efficiency projects.
  • Conduct measurement and verification activities to validate energy savings and ensure the accuracy and reliability of reported results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a similar field.
  • P.E. in Mechanical Engineering and CEM certification are desirable.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the energy efficiency or building efficiency industry.
  • Familiarity with electrical measurement equipment and software, such as Fault Detection and Diagnostics (FDD) software and systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deliverable deadlines and budgets.
  • Excellent writing, interpersonal, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Must be located in New Jersey and able to travel regionally up to approximately 20% of the time.
